Oregon Pioneer Building — Portland, OR

This project consisted of a seismic upgrade remodel of an existing historic building, including a dynamic analysis and evaluation, schematic design, and construction documentation and construction administration phases.  The Pioneer Building is a 1920’s era concrete building in Portland, Oregon that houses the iconic restaurant, Huber’s.  Huber’s is known as the oldest continuously operated restaurant in the city so maintaining the historic character of the restaurant while upgrading the building’s structure to resist current code seismic demands was a challenge.
